FAQ
Products:
Can I use other products along with the VB Skincare 3-Step System?
We developed our simple 3-step skin care system to meet all your skin needs. VB Skincare works best when used together, because other brands may contain duplicate ingredients, or have “filler” ingredients that your skin doesn’t really need. However, if you can’t live without certain other skincare products, you can absolutely incorporate your favs into your existing routine. If you have a specific product question, please get in touch with our team at customer support.
Can I wear makeup with VB Skincare 3-Step System?
Yes, yes, yes! We also recommend using Step 1 AHA/BHA Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser to remove your makeup at the end of the day. We also recommend avoiding makeup that contains salicylic acid (BHA), especially while your skin is adjusting to the new formulas.
Are VB Skincare products safe for pregnant and nursing women?
We have not done any product testing on pregnant women or nursing mothers. We recommend you consult your physician before using any VB Skincare products during pregnancy or while breast feeding.
How long will it take to see results?
Commitment, consistency and patience are absolutely essential, especially when treating hormonal acne and the signs of aging. Most users notice improvements within 2 to 3 weeks, but the transformation can take time.
VB Skincare Step #1 AHA/BHA Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser is low to medium foam. Is it good?
Our low to medium foam cleanser is carefully formulated by experts to match a specific pH that is more soothing and effective for your skin. Because of this attention to pH, the cleanser w ill have lower foam or lather.
We believe foaming agents often dry out your skin and remove your skin’s natural protective barrier. When your skin loses its natural protective barrier, it is more prone to bacteria attack. That’s why we formulated a low to medium foam cleanser that would be much healthier for your skin in the long run. And it still cleans skin like a pro - you just need time to get used to this new texture.
My skin is clear. Can I stop using VB Skincare?
Good skin takes commitment. And we can assure you that the time, cost and effort for prevention is always better than cure. Additionally, skin is vulnerable to both internal (hormonal) and external (environment) changes, thus we highly recommend that you stick to a skin care system to maintain your maturing skin.
Does VB Skincare work with all skin tones?
Absolutely. VB Skincare is designed at the precise concentrations and pH to be used on all skin types and most skin conditions including sensitive and post-procedure skin, to allow your own beautiful skin tone to shine through.
We recommend you always ask your physician which products and regimen will best address your skin type and concerns.
Does VB Skincare last all day?
The blend of Hyaluronic acid, Glycolic acid and essential oils have been formulated to keep skin feeling smooth, hydrated and moisturized all day.

Skin Concerns:
My skin seems dry - is it because of the exfoliation process?
That’s a common symptom, and it means that the system is working. During the first few weeks, you might notice temporary flaking while your skin sheds layers of dead cells and impurities.
If the transition is uncomfortable, we recommend using the cleanser every other day for a week, and then gradually shifting to twice per day.
I think I’m experiencing purging. What can I do?
Purging refers to a reaction to an active ingredient that is increasing skin cell turnover rate. If you’ve ever experienced a flareup after trying a new skincare product, it can be hard to tell whether your skin is breaking out or purging. It’s well worth knowing the difference, as purging is actually a good sign that the product works.
This transition is difficult – we totally understand. It’s hard to hear, but purging is often an inevitable step in your treatment. Your symptoms might get worse before they get better, but that’s proof that your skin is adjusting and healing. Purging can last for up to 4 weeks, and we recommend gradually adopting the routine to lessen the negative effects. Try using the products every other day and then slowly building up to the recommended system.
If you still notice signs of purging after 6 weeks, let us know at customer support. We’ll ask for skin selfies to provide personal advice.
What is "photodamage"?
Photodamage to the skin is caused by exposure to harmful ultraviolet light. Photodamage can be acute, as in sunburn, or more commonly, chronic, due to gradual changes in the skin caused by an accumulation of sun exposure throughout one’s life. Sun exposure is by far the most influential environmental factor affecting aging of the skin.
What are the causes of wrinkles?
Lines and wrinkles are caused by degenerative changes in the proteins of the skin’s infrastructure such as loss of stored antioxidants and reduction in collagen. Wrinkles are also caused by movement of the skin resulting in creases over time.
What are the causes of age spots?
Age spots are also known as sun spots or solar lentigines. Age spots are associated with cumulative sun exposure. Sun spots mostly appear in areas consistently exposed to sunlight such as the back of the hands, the forearms, neck, chest and face. The pigment producing cells in the skin (melanocytes) are stimulated to produce more pigment when exposed to ultraviolet rays.
How can I maintain the health of my skin?
Using sun protection and appropriate skin care products containing speciality ingredients is essential in maintaining healthy skin.
